Picnic Old Avenue Style

Tonight one of the nearby shopping centers was having a free concert. It was such a nice day and for once Joe did not have to go to the comedy club we decided to go and have a picnic. Lillian got very excited over this idea and helped me prepare. By help I mean she opened up the picnic blanket, took off her pants and panties and rolled around on it while listening to the soundtrack to Grease. She did help make our dinner though: BLT's with guacamole, pita chips and hummus, grapes, blackberries and fizzy water. She even had to wear a hat that she was calling the concert hat.

The band, Old Avenue, was already playing when we got there and Lillian wanted to eat as soon as we settled in. That is to say she ate a piece of bacon, took a chip with hummus and started to dance around and play with other children. She was actually going up to older children, holding their hands and playing with them. She would play then come back to us to get a bite of something or a drink of fizzy water then rush back out to play.

Of course lots of people had ice cream so she wanted some as well. After we bribed her to eat a few more bites, she got ice cream. This is the child scoop - it's huge!
On our way back home, the most amazing thing happened. Lillian said, "I sure had a good time at the concert." This NEVER happens. Anytime you ask Lillian if she had a good time her answer is always NO.
