Listen Mommy

The scene: In the car after grocery shopping

Lillian: Mommy, if you got the kid movie

Mommy: Yeah

Lillian: No mommy, use the correct word.

Mommy: Sorry, yes

Lillian: If you just got me the kid movie Wall E and

Mommy: Uh huh

Lillian: No mommy, just listen now. If you got me the kid movie of Wall E, I would just like that. And daddy could watch the grown up Wall E and I would wait for him to stop it. Then it would be the kid movie. Yes.

New tights

Lillian showing off her new tights:

North Hills XMAS

The North Hills merchants held a holiday event over the weekend. And as we like free events, we bundled ourselves up once agian and headed over. They has bubbles that looked like snow falling down and various Christmas things walking around. Lillian actually went up to them all by herself and even took a jingle stick and stickers from the "elves".

The sky as we arrived:

For dinner we stopped at the pizza place and the waitress brought over some pizza dough for Lillian to play with. What a lifesaver that was. That will definitely be our pizza place with her from now on.

Christmas Parade

We went to the Christmas Parade on Saturday. It was the first time all three of us got to go together - usually Joe has a wrestling gig scheduled for the same time. We bundled up and got a front row seat. We brought along doughnuts and hot chocolate (Ovaltine) for Lillian and coffee for the grownups. I think the pictures explain all but Lillian did like seeing the animals and the general spectacle of the parade. However she did NOT LIKE the three big balloon floats or the BMX rider who came over to her and scared her. After that incident, anytime there was a performer walking, she asked, "That person is not coming near me?"

My FAVORITE part of the parade every year, The Helping Hand Mission Band:

Snow

It's snowing. Not much but enough to actually stick on a few surfaces.

Just in time for the Christmas parade tomorrow! As evidenced by these photos, Lillian was not very impressed. In fact I think she thinks her mother is really strange for getting excited over this pathetic amount of snow. I think daddy thinks that too!!

Our Wednesday morning

This morning we were going to head out the art museum for a preschool program that started at 10:00 am. Although Miss Lillian said she wanted to go when I read her the description of the event, I could not convince her to get dressed. After a heated battle in her room when I dared to move her laundry hamper to a new spot, I left her alone to cool down. I went about my business emptying the dishwasher. The fussing stopped and I stayed in the kitchen. Later I hear Lillian call to me, "I put my critters to bed with the lights on." Curious as to what I was going to find, I grabbed the camera and this is what I saw:

Lillian had dragged the doll cradle out and put Christmas Cat, Woll E. Bull. Mouse Cookie and Francesca Frog in it. And she took her night light out of the socket, plugged in her Christmas Tree and pulled the tree over to the cradle. She was very pleased with herself.

Later I found her walking around the house nibbling on a wedge of Parmesan cheese. She refused to eat her breakfast but got hungry and helped herself to some cheese. I guess no room is safe with her in it by herself now.

Princess of the Play dough:
She was very proud that she laced her fish all by herself

We did make it to the art museum but not in time for the program. She spent most of our time there laying on various benches and chasing/hiding from a little boy.
