Happy New Year

Our New Years Eve was spent at a puppet show, eating with chopsticks and receiving fortunes and having a NYE tea party. Plans for a grown-up night out were curtailed due to no babysitter.

We did not explain the whole new year's traditions to Lillian this year so I decided we would have a little tea party to celebrate. Lillian had an early dinner and I set up the tea party. We had hot herbal teas, blackberries, grapes and star cookies in front of the Christmas tree. We all had a good time to end 2008.

It's juicy

The scene: living room during lunch/snack time today as Lillian goes up to Daddy and hands him a dried cranberry and says:

Here Daddy. I brought you a cranberry to eat. I sucked on it for you so it would be juicy. Eat it.

And as any good Daddy, Joe ate it.
